On the 26th of July 2024, the episode of “Yeh Hai Chahatein” opens with Rudra and Preesha still dealing with the aftermath of their latest confrontation. The couple is in their bedroom, and the tension between them is palpable. Rudra is sitting on the edge of the bed, his head in his hands, while Preesha stands by the window, staring out at the night sky.
Rudra sighs deeply and says, “Preesha, we need to talk about what happened.” Preesha turns around, her eyes filled with tears. “What’s there to talk about, Rudra? You’ve already made up your mind about me,” she replies, her voice trembling.
Rudra stands up and walks over to her. “It’s not like that, Preesha. I’m just… I’m just trying to understand everything.” Preesha shakes her head. “You don’t understand, Rudra. You never do,” she says before walking out of the room, leaving Rudra feeling helpless.
The scene shifts to the dining room, where Sharda is setting the table for breakfast. She notices the tension between Rudra and Preesha and decides to intervene. “Rudra, Preesha, come and sit. Let’s have breakfast together,” she says, trying to lighten the mood.
Rudra and Preesha join Sharda at the table, but the atmosphere remains tense. Saransh, unaware of the conflict, happily talks about his day at school. “Mom, Dad, we have a school play next week. Can you both come and watch?” he asks excitedly.
Preesha forces a smile and nods. “Of course, Saransh. We’ll be there,” she says, trying to keep her voice steady. Rudra also nods, but his mind is elsewhere, still trying to process the events of the previous night.
After breakfast, Preesha goes to the hospital where she works. She tries to focus on her patients, but her mind keeps drifting back to her fight with Rudra. One of her colleagues, Dr. Rohan, notices that she is distracted and asks if she is okay. “I’m fine, Rohan. Just a bit tired,” she replies, trying to brush off his concern.
Meanwhile, Rudra heads to the recording studio, hoping to lose himself in his music. But even the familiar comfort of his guitar can’t keep his thoughts from wandering back to Preesha. He picks up his phone and types out a message to her, but then deletes it, unsure of what to say.
Back at home, Sharda tries to talk to Preesha when she returns from the hospital. “Preesha, I know things are tough right now, but you and Rudra need to work through this together,” she says gently. Preesha nods, tears welling up in her eyes again. “I know, Sharda Maa. I just don’t know how,” she admits.
Later in the evening, Rudra and Preesha sit down in the living room to talk. Rudra takes Preesha’s hand in his. “Preesha, I love you. I don’t want to fight anymore. Can we please try to understand each other?” he asks, his voice filled with sincerity.
Preesha looks at him, her heart aching. “Rudra, I love you too. But sometimes it feels like we are constantly at odds. We need to find a way to communicate better,” she says softly.
Rudra nods. “You’re right, Preesha. Let’s try to be more patient with each other,” he agrees. They hug, both hoping that this is a step towards mending their strained relationship.
As the night falls, Rudra and Preesha put Saransh to bed together, reading him a story and tucking him in. Saransh looks up at them with sleepy eyes and says, “Mom, Dad, promise me you’ll always be together.”
Rudra and Preesha exchange a look and smile. “We promise, Saransh,” they say in unison. After Saransh falls asleep, they sit on the couch, holding hands and talking about their day. It feels like a small victory, a moment of peace in their otherwise turbulent lives.
The next day, Rudra decides to surprise Preesha with a special breakfast. He wakes up early and prepares her favorite dishes, hoping to make her smile. Preesha is touched by the gesture and they share a quiet meal together, feeling a little more connected.
Later, Rudra has a meeting with his music producer, Mr. Khanna. They discuss Rudra’s upcoming album and the possibility of a tour. Rudra is excited about the prospect but worries about leaving Preesha and Saransh. Mr. Khanna reassures him that everything will be fine and encourages him to focus on his music.
Back at the hospital, Preesha is approached by a young girl, Meera, who is in need of a surgery. Meera’s parents are unable to afford the procedure, and Preesha is determined to help. She speaks to the hospital administration and manages to secure funding for Meera’s surgery.
When Preesha tells Rudra about Meera, he is proud of her for going the extra mile for her patients. “You’re amazing, Preesha. You always put others before yourself,” he says, giving her a warm hug.
As the days go by, Rudra and Preesha make a conscious effort to communicate better and support each other. They attend Saransh’s school play together, cheering him on and enjoying the moment as a family.
One evening, while they are having dinner, Rudra receives a call from an old friend, Arjun. Arjun is in town for a few days and wants to catch up. Rudra invites him over for dinner the next night, and Preesha agrees, happy to meet someone from Rudra’s past.
The next day, Arjun arrives, and Rudra introduces him to Preesha and Saransh. They spend the evening reminiscing about old times and sharing stories. Arjun mentions that he is working on a new project and suggests that Rudra could contribute to the soundtrack.
Rudra is intrigued by the idea and agrees to think about it. Preesha is supportive, encouraging him to explore new opportunities. “It sounds like a great chance for you, Rudra. You should go for it,” she says.
As the episode comes to a close, Rudra and Preesha sit on the balcony, looking up at the stars. “I’m glad we are finding our way back to each other,” Rudra says, holding Preesha’s hand.
“Me too, Rudra. We’ll get through this together,” Preesha replies, leaning her head on his shoulder. They stay like that for a while, enjoying the peaceful night and feeling hopeful about their future.
